How I think about products

 

A good product development strategy is centered around concept of iterative optimization.

STEP 1: Understand what you are trying to address

STEP 2: Who/What will I need to address what has be addressed

STEP 3: Start with basic work, the layouts, the designs, the processes and procedures

STEP 4: Start working on hypothesis. Develop a culture to move towards that hypothesis.

STEP 5: Culture transforms hypothesis into products. Improve and innovate.

STEP 6: Review the entire process chain and make iterative improvements. Identify the missing pieces.

STEP 7: Build your product. Test it for usability, stress and strain. Review.

STEP 8: Loop this process. Run autopilot. Apply course corrections regularly.
